In order to race you need a racing team, it can't be done alone. Whether your help comes from family, friends, sponsors or otherwise, you're all working as a team and each player has his vital role. From Steve Griggs, a Mini rally driver with extensive knowledge and never-ending patience with my lack of experience, down to Rachel for always being on hand to look after our children when a part has to be picked up.

On my 17th birthday I bought my first car - a Mini - and a neighbour gave me a set of ramps as a present. They were yellow and the rest is history. Now in my mid thirties, I finally have the time, knowledge and, only for the last 6 months, a garage with which to have a go at building a serious car for competition use. The fact that the yellow ramps were intact after the fire (what fire ? oh yeh had a bad one , a £31,000 bad one ) gave us hope and so we`ve built another garage and given the ramps a lick of paint.
With the new addition of Steve Griggs to the team comes a wealth of knowledge and experiance. His car is nearly finnished and should be a head turner, and a quick turn of the head it will have to be cos the spec will be quite a read .
